I recently finished a reading plan that was centered on working and more specifically how Christians should view our jobs and our businesses if we are business owners. While going through the plan the thing that stood out to me was that even if we don’t own a business our mindset should be as someone who does because at the end of the day, it is more pleasing to God that we honor Him by striving to do the best we can at our place of employment.
So I sent messengers to them saying, “I am dong a great work, so that I cannot come down. Why should the work cease while I leave it and go down to you?” (Nehemiah 6:3 NKJV)
And my God shall supply all of your need according to His riches and glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19 NKJV)
Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and feed on his faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. (Psalms 37:3-4 NKJV)
Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the man’s all. For God will bring every work into judgement, including every secret thing, whether good or evil. (Ecclesiastes 12:13 NKJV)
