Being courageous isn’t about being the biggest, baddest person in a fight. Being courageous is about doing the right thing even when everyone else is telling you that it’s wrong. It’s about speaking up for those who don’t have a voice. It’s about standing to finish a job that seems impossible. It’s about stepping out on faith day by day to do something the world thinks is small but it becomes the biggest thing in your life. Courage is giving your life to God and allowing Him to take you to heights unknown.
Be of good courage and he shall strengthen your heart, all you who hope in the Lord. (Psalms 31:24 NKJV)
Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Let all that you do be done with love. (I Corinthians 16:13 NKJV)
Afterward Moses and Aaron went in and told Pharaoh, “Thus says the Lord God of Israel: ‘Let my people go, that they may hold a feast to me in the wilderness'” (Exodus 5:1 NKJV)
Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: “Go gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” (Esther 4:15-16 NKJV)
As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” And he said, “Who are you, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.” (Acts 9:3-6 NKJV)
