In The Word – Power

Today I saw a commercial where someone was asking people to call and request a pouch of spring water that will bring them healing, blessings and the favor of God. Sadly I know that there are people who will send off for the water believing that the power is in the water.  The power is not in the water. The power is in the Lord.

You are the God who does wonders; You have declared Your strength among the peoples. (Psalms 77:14 NKJV)

Hear me, O Lord, hear me, that this people may know that You are the Lord God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again. Then the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood and the stones and the dust, and it licked up the water that was in the trench. Now when all the people saw it, they fell on their faces; and they said “The Lord, He is God! The Lord, He is God!” (1 Kings 18:37-39 NKJV)

And as he was still coming, the demon threw him down and convulsed him. The Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the child and gave him back to his father. And they were all amazed at the majesty of God. (Luke 9:42-43 NKJV)

For though He was crucified in weakness, yet He lives by the power of God. For we also are weak in Him, but we shall live with Him by the power of God toward you. (II Corinthians 13:4 NKJV)
